DAVID CLARK

As Founder and CEO, Dave brings two decades of business experience and vision to direct the strategies and operations of MindSource and EdisonSearch. In 1994, he founded MindSource to enable Silicon Valley employers to meet their needs for systems, network engineering, and architecture. He has leveraged his technology savvy and his deep understanding of operational, management, and other business issues surrounding IT environments to successfully complete numerous high-profile security, compliance, and infrastructure engagements.

After earning his degree at California State University-Hayward, Dave began his involvement with UNIX in the mid-1980s, when he worked in Berkeley at one of the first time-share companies, Basis. He went on to be a lead on the MIS team at Arix and later became a system analyst at NASA's Numerical Aerodynamic Simulation facility. For four years, Dave sat on the Board of Bay LISA, a non-profit group dedicated to large site system administration. At Taos Mountain Software, he was key to building the organization from 25 to nearly 200 consultants and developing the "sysadmin" identity it came to enjoy. He then established MindSource to provide IT staffing and project services. He recently led the spin-off of EdisonSearch, a division of MindSource which offers staffing services for placing technical talent in contract and full-time positions.

Dave has a large network of IT professionals in Silicon Valley, due in part to his hiring of over 1,000 individuals over the past decade and from hosting 50 “Birds of a Feather”; training sessions since 1994. With MindSource's expansion to provide managed services and compliance, Dave has continued to employ his deep knowledge of the field to lead MindSource in meeting clients' critical IT and business requirements
