Sr. Systems Engineer-Perl Unix Admin

We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer with a background in UNIX Systems Administration and Perl Scripting experience to join our client who specializes in Security Services & Solutions. You must also have experience with either Tripwire or Bladelogic to be considered. This is a 9 months to 1 year contract opportunity.
Project Description:
You will be part of team supporting a total of 600 systems; 300 Linux, 220 Solaris, 60 Windows and 20 AIX Servers in the production environment. You will be largely responsible for automating routine tasks using Perl. This project team will be responsible upgrading Tripwire in the windows environment from version 6-7, supporting the current system and generating security audit reports. There will also be an implementation of Bladelogic Configuration and Provisioning. There will also be maintenance and performance tuning of the Sendmail infrastructure.
- Qualifications :
Core Competencies Required:
1.You must have 5-6 years of Perl Scripting experience
2.You must have 5+ years of Unix System Administration experience
3.You must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Tripwire Enterprise experience
4.You must have a minimum of 2-3 years of BladeLogic Configuration Manager/Provisioning Manager experience
5.You must have your core experience in #’s 1, 2 & 3 or #s 1, 2 & 4 to be considered
Desired Skills:
- Windows Administration Experience(1-2yrs minimum)
- 2-3 years experience in XML/HTML programming
- Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Scripting
- Experience with systems logs, including log file format and growth/size information
- Experience with SSH Tunneling, rsync configuration and Email pharsing
- 1-2 years experience with syslog-ng
- Experience with Sendmail Configuration will be useful
- Must have experience working in a production environment;
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
