Description: | We are seeking a QA Black Box Tester with Mobile & Linux experience to join our client who is a leading Wireless company in the San Jose area. This is a 6 month Contract Opportunity.
Project Description:
You will be part of an exciting QA Team that is responsible for testing wireless services and features in an environment that is growing, people are motivated and the technology is cutting edge. Communication skills are the keys to success in this group as you will assess the quality their upcoming leading-edge products. In this role you will be working independently as well as interfacing with various teams including development, product marketing and the design team to insure a successful, high quality release. You will be mainly responsible for testing new functions and features of this cutting edge product.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and regularly review software test cases and test data sets.
• Execute software test cycles, work closely with software developers to isolate bugs, and perform regression testing as needed.
• Document and analyze test results, and report software defects.
• Evaluate and recommend new testing techniques, methods, and toolsets.
• Work with the development engineering and marketing teams during the product specification and design phases to create and implement relevant test plans, specifications and documentation.
• Contribute to the success of the team by improving QA processes, training peers on new technologies, and working with product development engineering to improve overall product quality.

Qualifications: | Required Experience:
5+ years experience in software testing and QA.
Configuration and testing experience with small-footprint, mobile, power-conscious handheld/mobile computing and/or smart phone devices
Experience working in a heterogeneous software development and deployment environment including Windows, UNIX/Linux and/or Macintosh
Experience shipping consumer products, preferably involving parallel software/hardware development efforts
B.S. or equivalent experience
Desirable experience:
Experience working on mobile device applications software is preferable
Grey box testing is a plus
Experience implementing and/or executing test automation with tools such as SilkTest, WinRunner, MS Test, SQA Robot, etc. a plus
Knowledge of programming and/or scripting languages a plus
International product experience a plus
