We are seeking a Security Consultant with testing/hacking experience to join our client in the San Francisco area who specializes in Network & Web-Based Technologies.



Job Description/Responsibilities:



We need an Engineer that has Security testing experience and has done ����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½Ethical Hacking����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½ to perform web vulnerability testing on a PHP / Java based social network application. You will be working directly with the QA manager to break the system and test all the security functions of a large customer facing Web 2.0 application.



Responsibilities:



-Perform security / exploit testing and deliver fix recommendations

-Perform network scanning, vulnerability testing and penetration testing

-Testing at the HTTP request level for XSS, injection exploits and authentication risks

-Exploits must be provided to us in the form of an automated script or documented process for regression testing purposes.

-Provide findings, risk assessment, and fix recommendations verbally and in writing.



Qualifications:

-5+ years experience in technology -Must have in depth knowledge of the IT and security field including TCP/IP, HTTP, encryption, network access controls, etc. -Good solid understanding and familiarity with multiple commercial and open-source web and network vulnerability assessment tools (Spike Proxy, Paros, fuzzers, etc) -Scripting experience in one of the following scripting languages (bash, perl, python, etc.) -You must have excellent written and communication skills
