Description: | We at MindSource specialize in placing technology professionals with companies in the Silicon Valley Region. We have an immediate need for an experienced UNIX/LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR with our client in San Mateo, CA. This is a CONTRACT/CONTRACT to HIRE position after 6 months. Please let me know if you are available and interested in the following position.
They are looking for a strong Linux Administrator who has inclination to learn networking and scripting. The successful candidate should also have some experience with RPM and server farms. |
Qualifications: | Linux/Unix Systems Engineering:
- You've worked in close collaboration with a Product Development organization, you understand software design, can effectively debug and give feedback on the running applications
- You are an expert in all Linux technologies, you can build RPMs, repos and Kickstart configutarions and you've developed scalable and robust update and installation processes.
- You can design Network configurations for secure and reliable performance; you are versed in setting up bonded NICs,trunking and using iptables for best effect.
- You are well versed in designing and implementing Secure linux installation
- Extra credit is you have experience developing Configuration Management systems
Personal Characteristics:
- You can multitask and are most comfortable when you are effectively managing three or four threads at a time
- You are a team player, you understand that through collaboration, organizations develop stronger and more sustainable services
- You have a good sense of humor and an optimistic outlook
