Description: | Our client in San Mateo, CA is looking for a LINUX DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER who has inclination to learn networking and scripting. This is a contract position for 6 months with a possible hire.
Currently, they are moving from a dozen or so production machines to hundreds and need a desktop support engineer who can support the production issues. This is a contract position for 6 months with a possible hire. |
Qualifications: | Requirement
- You've worked in close collaboration with a Product Development organization; you understand software design, can effectively debug and give feedback on the running applications
- You have significant experience in desktop support especially in a Linux Environment.
- Experience in any of the scripting languages is a plus.
- Extra credit is you have experience developing Configuration Management systems
Personal Characteristics:
- You can multitask and are most comfortable when you are effectively managing three or four tasks at a time
- You are a team player; you understand that through collaboration, organizations develop stronger and more sustainable services
- You have a good sense of humor and an optimistic outlook
